The review portal Tripadvisor asked its users to name the most beautiful beaches in the world. The results are now in, and to the surprise of many, a beach in Mallorca is among the TOP 25: Muro Beach in the north of the island.
Across Europe, the approximately 6-kilometer-long stretch of beach made it to 3rd place.
Playa de Muro is located near the historic old town of Alcudia and the tourist area of Playa de Alcudia all the way to Can Picafort. The beach is partially natural and is popular with families as well as water sports enthusiasts.
The coast here is very shallow, the sand is exceptionally fine, and even nudist enthusiasts have their own area.
The beach is guarded by lifeguards along its entire length and almost continuously offers loungers and parasols for rent. Several restaurants can be found along Playa de Muro. Only the Es Comu section of the beach is not serviced.
Grace Bay Beach in Turkey leads the ranking, followed by Varadero in Cuba and Turquoise Bay in Australia.
